Ahwazi political activist and deputy head of liberation movement of Ahwaz, Habib Esewoud Kabbi has been released.
The polish security authorities had arrested Habib Esewoud at the airport of the polish capital, Warsaw on 11th February, 2019 based on Iranian request from the Interpol, Esewoud was supposed to participate in the conference of the Ahwazi liberation movement to expose the abhorrent apartheid policies of the Iranian regime.
The Iranian regime presented fabricated documents to the polish authorities accusing Habib Esewoud of being a threat to the national security and committing crimes but without any concrete evidence however Iran's insolence is not worse than its racist persecution and oppression against Ahwazis that persist to eradicate their presence in Iran once and for all.
Habib Esewoud had a trial by the polish judiciary in March but the judiciary considered Iran's "alleged evidence" as insufficient for proving its claims and according to the law of the state decided to extend the detention period to the 28th of May as the last chance for the Iranian authorities to prove their alleged charges against Esewoud.
Two countries and Amnesty international, in addition to seven humanitarian organisations for Iranian minorities called on the polish authorities to release Esewoud ;confirming that all of Iran's claims against him are false accusations.
Iran has a long record of fabricating against political and cultural activists in Ahwaz and ither minorities in Iran.
Habib Esewoud fled to Syria from th4 Iranian persecution and in 2006 was transferred by the UNHCR to Sweden.
Despite the unlimited Iranian spending to retrieve Esewoud, the polish judiciary decided to release him confirming that Iran provided fabricated proofs.
Moreover, the Iranian authorities were persecuting, oppressing and discriminating against the Ahwazi Ethnic minority.
The judiciary added that the Iranian trials against political activists are sham trials that held unfairly and without public hearings.
Extracting confessions from the activists by torture contravenes the international conventions including international convention against torture.
Previously the intelligence service of the IRGC in coordination with Iranian embassies in Germany, Sweden and Norway had plotted the assassinations of leaders of the Ahwazi liberation movement including Habib Esewoud and the leader of the movement in Denmark, Habib Jabr but the Denmark and Sweden intelligence services detected and failed these terrorist attempts
Diplomatic relations between some European countries such as Netherlands, Denmark and Albania on hand and Iran on the other hand have witnessed political tensions, some of which had led to withdrawal of ambassadors from Iran and expulsion of Iranian diplomats out of Europe.
