The Alahwazi Organization for Human Rights (A.O.H.R) strongly condemns the systematic land confiscation, demographic engineering, and forced impoverishment enforced by Iranian state institutions, oil companies, and sugarcane megaprojects in Ahwaz. Indigenous Ahwazi Arab citizens are being forcibly dispossessed of their ancestral lands under the guise of economic development, resulting in displacement, state-sponsored settlement schemes, and forcing over 90% of the local population below the poverty line.
This report documents the ongoing dispossession targeting residents of Oudeh Village in the Ghizaniyeh district (Marun oil field sector). Despite producing between 1.5 to 2 million barrels of oil per day from 600–900 oil wells, Ghizaniyeh remains utterly deprived of clean drinking water, basic infrastructure, and employment. Instead, state oil companies are attempting to seize the remaining farmland of indigenous villagers without compensation or legal recourse.

* Articles 10 & 26: Absolute prohibition of forced relocation and protection of traditional land ownership rights.
A.O.H.R demands an immediate end to land grabs, full compensation for affected communities, and international intervention by UN Special Rapporteurs.
