Human Rights Report: Critical Condition of Ahwazi Detainee Abdulhussein Farhan Amid a New Wave of Arbitrary Arrests

The Alahwazi Organization for Human Rights (A.O.H.R) warns of the severe deterioration in the health condition of 61-year-old Ahwazi detainee Abdulhussein Farhan (known as "Abdullah Abu Masoud al-Badawi"), currently held in Sheiban Prison in Ahwaz, amidst an escalating campaign of arbitrary arrests and security crackdowns targeting Arab citizens by the Iranian authorities.
According to monitoring by the Organization, during the period following Eid al-Fitr (late March) and Eid al-Adha through late June of this year, Iranian intelligence forces launched widespread raids across the cities of Ahwaz, Ma'shur, Abadan, Fallahiye, and Kut Abdullah. Dozens of Sunni Arab citizens were arbitrarily arrested due to their peaceful civil and religious activities.
Several detainees were transferred to Sheiban Prison in Ahwaz, while the fate of others who remain subject to severe torture and forced confessions under coercion remains unknown.
Abdulhussein Farhan, a resident of Umm al-Banin village in Kut Abdullah, was arrested on March 23 following his participation in organizing and leading congregational Tarawih and Eid prayers, as well as his civil engagement. Close family sources report that he suffers from diabetes and other chronic health conditions requiring continuous medical care and regular medication, raising grave concerns for his life under harsh detention conditions.
The Organization notes that security forces raided residential homes in Kut Abdullah and Ahwaz, terrorizing women and children, confiscating personal belongings, and taking detainees to undisclosed locations. A number of those arrested are former political prisoners who had previously completed sentences for their peaceful activities.

Among the detainees documented by the Alahwazi Organization for Human Rights (A.O.H.R) are:
* Hussein Batrani (40 years old) – Married
* Hassan Obaidawi (50 years old) – Married
* Mohammad (Abu Aqeel) Hazbawi (36 years old) – Married
* Abdelrahman Mohammad Hazbawi (43 years old) – Married
* Jassim (Abu Majid) Sawari (34 years old) – Married
* Mohammad Khanfari (22 years old) – Married
* Mohammad Hazbawi (21 years old) – Single
* Abdulhussein Farhan (Abu Masoud al-Badawi) (61 years old)
* Mujahed Sawari (37 years old) – From Mandali neighborhood, Ahwaz

The Alahwazi Organization for Human Rights (A.O.H.R) emphasizes that these oppressive measures, night raids, arbitrary arrests, and enforced disappearances constitute a blatant violation of fundamental human rights, including freedom of belief, personal security, and the right to a fair trial.
The release of this report was delayed due to internet blackouts and communication disruptions during ongoing military engagements between Iran, the United States, and Israel.
